North Adams Church Hosts Electronic Recycling, Paper Shredding Event
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — All Saints Berkshires Episcopal Church will host a Northern Berkshire community electronic recycling and paper shredding event on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The drop-off will take place at the Steeple City Plaza Lot located at 59 Summer St. Residents can dispose of various electronics and household appliances for fees ranging from $5 to $25, depending on the item:
- $5: Cell phones, speakers, electric tools, cameras, network equipment, video games and consoles, small kitchen appliances (toasters, irons), hair dryers, keyboards, CD/DVD drives, and computer cards.
- $10: Desktop and laptop computers, flat screen/LCD monitors, copiers, printers, fax machines, scanners, phone systems, microwaves, audio/video equipment, and UPS systems/MP3 players.
- $15: Air conditioners, humidifiers/dehumidifiers, CRT monitors, and TVs under 24 inches.
- $20: Large office copiers and barbecue grills.
- $25: TVs 24 inches or larger, refrigerators, freezers, stoves, washers, dryers, and large office printers.
Paper shredding services will be available for $2 per box, with reasonable donations accepted for larger quantities. Lawn mowers and propane tanks will not be accepted.
