Mounties Excel at Holyoke Track and Field Meet

HOLYOKE, Mass. – Mount Greylock sophomores Finnegan Voisin and Lilian Bertolino Friday each won a title at the William Kane Invitational.

 

Running in the fastest of three heats in the mile, Voisin clocked a time of 4 minutes, 43.22 seconds to finish nearly two seconds ahead of Longmeadow’s Henry Counoyer in the all-division event.

 

Bertolino won the discus with a throw of 87 feet, 3 inches, 6 and a half feet ahead of the field.

 

Mount Greylock’s Rowan Apotsos posted two runner-up finishes in the event at Holyoke High School, placing second in the 800 meters and the two-mile run.
